Snowbound-Part 2
Our lunchtime walk ends abruptly at the edge of the yard. There, a three-foot drift blocks the driveway, and the foster dog turns to look at me and whines.
Twelve-plus inches of snow over the weekend kept us snowbound for 48 hours. On Tuesday, more snow arrived. The winds soon followed. With 30 mph wind gusts and light, fluffy snow, I know we aren't going anywhere today, and maybe tomorrow.
The winds will keep me from taking photos and skiing.
Like the animals, I retreat to my shelter to wait.
