Summer Mornings: The Balloon
Horses and sheep are prey animals – always on the lookout for the mountain lion in the bushes, the wolf prowling the fence line.
So when a white helium balloon drifts near the far pasture, all grazing stops. The animals refuse to go near the bobbing balloon.
I can’t fight the generations of memory.
If I want them to graze the far pastures, I must remove the helium predator.
